Kids Fun Food Classes

Our Kids Food Fun Classes are designed for 5 to 8 years old children and consists of three virtual interactive classes, each runs for 30 minutes and comes with a quick online quiz as well as optional educational activities to do at home to reinforce the concepts learnt.

The themes for the 3 classes are as follow:
1. Fruits & Vegetables (aim: increase interest in fruits and vegetables and promote adequate intake)
2. Where is it from? (aim: explore the food supply chain and common foods derived from basic ingredients)
3. Making Healthy Choices (aim: learn about the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating and learn to choose healthier food options)


The following elements of the Australian Curriculum (Years 1 and 2) are explored:
ACPPS018 Recognise situations and opportunities to promote health, safety and wellbeing (Health and Physical Education)
ACPPS021 Examine health messages and how they relate to health decisions and behaviours (Health and Physical Education)
ACPPS022 Explore actions that help make the classroom a healthy, safe and active place (Health and Physical Education)
ACTDEK003 Explore how plants and animals are grown for food, clothing and shelter and how food is selected and prepared for healthy eating (Technologies)

Cost: $3, $5 or $7 per class per child (Yes, you can pick how much you can afford for our classes! We want to make them available to a maximum amount of kids!)

When: See dates on Eventbrite or Facebook. Contact us to book a class at a different date (minimum 3 children)

You will need access to Zoom to participate in the classes. We recommend using it on a computer or tablet as the class content might be small on a phone screen. It is a free software easy to install.
