The Easiest “Kinda Healthy” Halloween Treat!

A couple of years ago, I wanted to do a last minute Halloween Treat for a kids playgroup. My challenge was to use what I had in the cupboard (didn’t feel like going out to the grocery with my 2 little ones) and it had to be on the healthy side. After scrolling on Pinterest for a bit too long, I made up this simple 3 ingredients treat. 

These little chocolate monsters contain a lot of fibres, so don’t eat to many of them in the same day!


1/2 – 3/4 cup Chocolate Chips
1/2 – 3/4 cup Wheat Bran Cereal (All-Bran)
Sugar Eyes or Lollies


1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave for about 1.5 to 2 minutes on medium heat. Or melt the chocolate in a bain-marie.
2. Mix in the cereals.
3. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Drop 8 to 12 cereals “monsters” on the sheet and make sure they don’t touch each other.
4. Add the eyes or candies. Be creative, monsters can have 1, 2, 3 or more eyes!
5. Refrigerate until set and enjoy!
